Special Education Liaison

“Special education is not a place where children go for services, but services children receive in accordance with their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in the least restrictive environment.”

Online resource:  BCPS Office of Special Education

Fall 2009 Hand-In-Hand is a joint publication of the Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee (SECAC) and the Baltimore County Public Schools, Office of Special Education.

Stoneleigh PTA is still in need of a Special Education Liaison.    If your child has an IEP and receives services at Stoneleigh Elementary School, then YOU might be a good candidate to fill this role.    The Special Education Liaison is someone who provides information and resources to parents whose children receive special education services in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
